	About gynarchian I often find myself disappointed in the definition of the word 'masochist'. To paraphrase Merriam-Webster, "one who derives pleasure from pain, suffering, or abuse"; it just doesn't do justice to how I think of myself or what I feel or what I seek to feel. For me the pleasure is not directly linked to the pain. It has almost nothing to do with the abuse itself and everything to do with the One who inflicts it. It's all about seeing that glow of satisfaction that brightens in Her face when She deals another blow. My pleasure is in knowing that I endure it for Her and in honor of Her. It's about making an honest and powerful avowal of my devotion to Her. A devotion that isn't obligatory or self-serving but is the culmination of genuine adoration, and respect, and worship for an Individual that I believe deserves it, so much so that I lay my dignity at Her feet and quietly but fervently hope that She stomps on it. Kneeling, bowing, kowtowing, assuming any subservient posture is such an amazingly simple but incredibly potent experience for me. I think it taps into that ancient instinct of fight or flight to which I would append a third option making it fight or flight or submit. You encounter something more powerful than yourself and you must choose: fight, flee, or submit... and hope the more powerful one is amused by your submission enough to let you live. I think this parallels nicely with my perception of the D/s experience. I encounter a Domme who has a power I don't have, a power I'm helpless against but also drawn to. I know I can't fight it, I don't want to flee, so the only option left is to grovel.

Thoughts on Female Supremacy - I think when one objectively considers the landscape of gender/sex relationships, particularly in humans; there can be no denying the unrivaled sovereignty of the feminine. The ascendance of the female over all others is an unassailable truth of nature. You can no more deny it or fight it than you can deny or fight the tides. However, whereas I used to think that believing in Female Supremacy meant bowing and scraping and groveling for any and all women everywhere; I now recognize how ridiculous I was for thinking that way. It was probably just my male libido driving me to involve every woman I could imagine in my private fantasies. Now I view it as more of a generality. The innate supremacy of femaleness may not be true to the same degree in every individual woman, but it is true of women in general, and as such, whether worshiped as divine or not, all women are deserving of a higher degree of reverence. Humans once worshiped the sun as divine (some probably still do) and even though most of us now do not; we still revere and respect the sun. We love it for the warmth and nourishment it provides, we fear it, we acknowledge that we are subject to its whims, we even avoid eye contact with it as it is just too powerful. I think this is a great analogy for Female Supremacy. Whether or not one chooses to be an obsequious worshiper of the superior female, one must still acknowledge and respect the truth of her superiority. Personally, I prefer the role of obsequious worshiper. :)
