A little bit about me:
I'll be the first one to tell you I'm a nerd.

I
live to read. Stephen King, Clive Barker, and Neil Gaiman being some of my favorite authors. I've recently discovered the Brotherhood of the Black Dagger series by JR Ward and am chewing my way through it. It's categorized as paranormal romance. I'm not a big romance reader, but Ward handles the material so well, I can't resist it.
Add to that several graphic novels (I've just discovered the work of Grant Morrison) and I've got more than enough to keep me occupied.
I am a true bibliophile.

I've gone through some massive changes since 2009. I'm not the person I was then, and it's for the best. I wish I could change my handle here - “gothique” isn't accurate any longer, she fulfilled her purpose. I still like the Goth aesthetic, but you'll not find me decked out like that. I want whimsy, colour and light in my life.

I don't like chick flicks, and am drawn to things with action, blood, violence, horror - all the stuff we womenfolk are supposedly turned off by.
Then again, I'm not your usual woman.
Recent favorites include Thor 2 The Dark World, Silver Linings Playbook, Pacific Rim, and Ironman 3.
TV runs to Sons of Anarchy, Sherlock, Agents of SHIELD, Doctor Who, True Blood, Arrow, Bob's Burgers, Revenge, Wallander, and Gordon Ramsay cooking shows.

As for music tastes, I like a little of a lot, meaning my iPod has something of an identity crisis.

Even though I say I'm a nerd, sadly my video game skills lack. I'm looking to try to change that as time goes on.
