I have studied many religions and magick paradigms. Catholicism and Voodoo are quite interesting, but I mostly resonate with Chaos Magick and Sex Magick. The energy from receiving pain can be quite magical if one learns to focus correctly. I do not consider myself either pagan or religious.
My favorite movies include Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Opium, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Trilogy, The Season of the Witch, Witchville, Skeleton Key, Feast of All Saints, The Wicker Man, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Dominion, The Exorcist, What The Bleep Do We Know, A Beautiful Mind, Indigo, the Twilight series, The Hunger Games series, The Devils Reject. The best movie I've seen in a long time is Dead Pool. I absolutely love this character. See I like it because he becomes a super hero as a result of being cured of cancer. Shortly after the movie came out I learned that my partner had terminal cancer. We both loved the movie and were looking forward to the sequel in 2018.
My favorite TV shows are American Horror, Orange is the New Black and True Blood.-- I read the Sookie Stackhouse books the show was based upon. I also read 50 Shades of Grey in preparation for seeing the parody stage show. The book seemed written for a teenage audience but the play was absolutely hilarious. Now I am reading Anne Rice's most recent book "Prince Lestat" and the 4th book in her Sleeping Beauty series "Beauty's Kingdom"
Animation that I like includes South Park, Futurama, Family Guy, The Cleveland Show, King of the Hill, American Dad, The Simpsons, Moral Oral, Border Town, Kevin Spencer
Other TV Shows I love are The Daily Show, The Late Show, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Weeds, Big Love, and Wentworth.
Musically I am an Amanda Palmer freak. Her early music is Punk Cabaret. I like everything she did with the Dresden Dolls: including A is for Accident, Yes, Virginia, and No Virginia and also her duet with Jason Weatherby called Evelyn Evelyn. She toured Asheville with her solo album Who Killed Amanda Palmer and it was the best show I've seen at the Orange Peel. Her DVD's of shows in London are fabulous. She just released a wonderful book entitled "The Art of Asking or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Let People Help."
