Several words are used to characterize the interests within our community, with the label BDSM capturing four of the most common terms. And yet I wonder whether two less-used words are really the keys- control and vulnerability. These words represent an extension of more vanilla sexual relationships, and open the door to the actiivites we consider our domain.

As a switch, I enjoy both the controlling and vulnerable aspects. In top mode, I enjoy the complete control and the opportunity to impose my will using restraints, discipline, or other means-- but always within the comfort zone of the sub. In bottom mode, I enjoy the vulnerability of being under the control or another, being exposed to use, discipline, or any other desires of the Top-- again within my own capability to deal with the situation.

Over the years I have explored aspects of BDSM space, and know my own interests to be somewhat flexible. There are activities I'd like to share with the right person, and other opportunities I'd like to explore.
