About Evanescent
I'm a gentle-natured, yet mischievous switch, who is looking for his play mate or life companion, whichever the fates may cast my way. I have some hard-won opinions about things, one of which is to have no expectations. You learn as much as you can about someone, or some thing, and either accept them (or it) as is, or move on. The training of a submissive is obviously contrary to this model, I realize, but I'm not really into that part of the lifestyle anyway (playing with subs is another matter).
I am very outdoorsy and athletic - I hike, run, bike, and ski (XC and Telemark) - but enjoy rest and relaxation as well (balance is important). Classical music is a passion, as is good coffee and Mexican and Italian food. Potato chips are a constant temptation.
Having been somewhat active in the local kink community for a while, and attending many educational events, I can't say that I'm a total newbie, but at the same time must admit a certain level of inexperience. It would be fun to connect with someone in a similar situation - someone still learning the ropes, so to speak - and continue to grow and explore what this lifestyle has to offer.

Since I've been stuck indoors, sick, for the past few days, I've been catching up on some reading. What I've been reading, "the Master's Manual," by Jack Rinella, has been both educational and fascinating. If I understand Mr. Rinella correctly, he seems to advocate submission as a valuable educational experience for Tops (Doms and Masters).
I find myself envious of the subs out there, who seem to have a plethora of choices for learning. Not the case for us novice Tops. True, there is that Dominant's training program - if you can commit to that much time - but it seems like there should be another way to learn, at a more convenient or relaxed pace.
Anyone out there who might be interested in doing some mentoring, please get in touch. Or, if you're a fellow Switch who is also on the learning curve, maybe we could expand our knowledge together. Just ideas, thoughts on another cabin-fever day. |
