Hello. I have just had the weirdest all-day conversation by e-mail with a sub who started out friendly and got more and more hostile, finally accusing me (when I wouldn't send any naked pics and I wouldn't agree to cam) that I was "not genuine" and "probably a sad man". Well. I have run into this problem before on websites where there are a LOT of men hanging out - it is one reason why I picked this nick, to see off all but the stupidest men - but of course there are men who pose as lesbians in order to try to get in touch with real lesbians.? (This means, dear straight guys posing as lesbians, that almost certainly if you've got in touch with someone who claims to be a lesbian and is willing to do online graphic sex scenes with you, "she" is probably another straight man: dudes, you guys are having gay sex, just admit it.) Once let this problem get a hold on you, and you find yourself demanding paranoical levels of proof from other women to "prove" themselves to you, while at the same time refusing to provide anything yourself. This is a losing game when both parties play it: the fact that on the Internet there is nothing easier than to provide a pic of a total stranger and claim it's yourself means even sharing photos is not necessarily evidence of gender. As I wrote to this sub: 1. I won't supply material to be wanked over. So I don't send explicit sexual fantasies or sexual or naked photos of myself, until we know each other a lot better. 2. I want to discuss serious possibilities of a real life relationship, not an online one: and I won't take someone seriously unless they too want to do that, not for hours or days but for weeks. 3. I find that people who are really just looking for sexual fantasy online - whether male or female - tend to drift off in boredom when the online conversation doesn't give them what they want. 4. So, after a month - perhaps - of online conversation, e-mails and chats, not roleplaying or graphic fantasy - we may exchange phone numbers and speak to each other. 5. And after that - and only after that - we might actually arrange a meeting. This applies to people who live a distance off. If we both live in the same city, we might both decide to arrange a RL meeting in a cafe somewhere without a phone call. But if the meetup is going to involve significant amounts of travelling, especially if it requires an overnight stay, the hell we're going to arrange something like that without a lot of online talk first. --- Ooh. I got my first hatemail - from the sub I was trying to explain all this to: apparently, after lengthy discussion, the sub felt the best way to convince me that she was a "nice genuine person" was to shout at me in CAPS LOCK "I am not interested in u becoz u r fucking ugly ok?" and then (because I had just told her that I was not interested in meeting her) "u have convinced me that u r male and trying to con me". Oh, and "u sound like a total nutter"... Ah well.
