No deep philosophical meaning to the photo, this time. Just wanted to show off my other hand blade.

I thought i'd talk a little bit about my profile pic, since this is the first one i've had here in years. It's a pretty symbolic image.

My hand itself represents striving. The finger blades represent (respectively) power and intellect (the dragon) and savagery and kinship (the wolf), what i consider to be my driving forces. Their black and "crusty" on my hand because of how they are layered onto the soul beneath, and add difficulty and tools to my sense of self.

The way the one blade is about to touch the picture is representative of how if we achieve what we strive for, we destroy it. To achieve our goals is to render them something less then what they were. So to touch is to destroy. 

The picture itself is, of course, Jesus. He represents restraint. In a twist, the painting is from a cult - so it is a *perverted* image of restraint and meaning, modified by it's origins. Think of a rotten apple, as a good analogy - something wholesome turned evil. 

So the image represents that i know, logically, that if i ever achieve my goals they will be rendered useless, because they are in fact already tainted, as well as the destruction i would wreak on them. Yet still i strive, driven on by my lust for power.
