My journal entry will start with how a person can become hooked so easily on something that gets them little endorphins going....
Over the years of horseriding and competing with all the thrills and spills i have had the pleasure of being in hospital and finding out some limits of my pain threshold.
I have very recently found the chiropractor a good source of electric toys of which i find so yummy pity i am there to be healed!
One thing i find hard is to describe pain and just how painful something is, and the doctor is really not sure what is wrong as i am telling the truth but then everyone has differing pain thresholds for different things ...
I like electric play of any kind but floggers and paddles hmmm that i find it hard to enjoy them in any way, with whips i like the mind set of being blindfolded and to hear it cracking and feeling the breeze and thinking and being told how much it would hurt if it was to strike .....and it does occassionally which is a wake up call, then the mindset is to not move and let the pain rush around the body like a hot flush ............!
Where as another person may be able to take 100 lashes of the cane or whip, paddle or flogger but only uses electricity on mild settings.
So how do you explain to a doctor the pain that is rather unpleasant but tolerable, this morning the chiro finally realised what i had wrong with me and said that it was really painful and there i was thinking its not so bad.... and as i do not believe in masking pain with drugs yes it can get really bad but then it is a great excuse to play with the tens machine or jump in the spa :)
