First and foremost, I am a Dominant.
I'm not an 'in your face' type of Dominant, nor am I the type who needs to beat upon his chest and declare that he is so to the masses. I'm comfortable in my Dominance, thank you, and if you don't think I'm Dominant enough for you, then that's either because a) I'm not your Dominant, or b) I don't give a flying fuck about proving myself to you. Likely, it's both.
I'm something of a "Daddy Dom" for those who want that particular distinction; I tend towards being protective and nurturing. Don't let that fool you, however; as a Dom, I want obedience. I appreciate brattiness only in very small doses; in general, I don't "do" brats.
As I said, I'm comfortable in my Dominance, and I don't need to prove that I am a Dominant. To me, Dominance isn't about being the 'top dog', or about 'being in control/command'. It is a facet of who I am, not what I do, nor of the people around me. If I need to have a submissive or subordinate to control/command in order to be a Dominant, then I am not a Dominant. To me, Dominance also isn't about forcing my Dominance upon another person, or forcing a submissive to recognize my Dominance over them. Just because I am a Dominant doesn't mean I'm your Dominant, and until such time as we agree that you want me to be your Dominant, we are equal people, and I will treat you as such. |
