Elusive Butterfly
Down deep, amid the
Damp and mossy recesses of the
Verdant and silent forest floor,
In betwixt darnkess and dawn;
She once was found,
Clinging fast and close in the arms
Of the vines and brambles that twisted and cried
Surrounding and holding the elusive butterfly.
In the darkness of the night shadows,
She came upon the brambles.
With little effort she did alight,
And it was there, throughout the night,
She rested in silent comfort and peace
Her fears finally at last, came to cease.
What was it that had caused her to tremble so?
Why was she unable to really know
The truth, shining before her eyes?
Love, sweet and true,
Pouring from one loyal heart
To hers, so true?
Elusive butterly,
Bewildered and unable to trust
The kind and loving heart that she must...
Back and forth,
Her mind and heart did race.
In her quandry of
Wanting so hard to trust,
Questions needing answers
Loomed to keep her heart
Beating at a rapid pace.
The calming night's breezes
Soon soothed and quieted her soul
And her inner strength and guidance took hold.
At last, surrendering, no longer torn.
Here, she has rested until
The birth of the morn'.
As the radiating sunbeams touch her wings,
The warmth releases her passion
In morning's golden silence, her answer has come
And her spirit sings.
Shining in the brilliance
Of the sunlight,
Once so timid and shy
Now, no longer wondering why.
Gathering in beauty and strength,
Gracefully flying now,
Across the breath and length,
Coming home to her love,
She flies;
Most beautiful and elusive butterfly.

I blossom, I grow, I dream and I yearn!
The flame burns deeply it warms my heart! It's glow is the beacon that guide's His path to my door!
I hear heavy footsteps and quickly kneel to the floor!
My heart beats wildly, my mind's in a whirl!
I kneel, I wait, I hope and pray,
He will walk through the door and call me His girl!
I strain my ears counting off each step,
they echo louder as He draws near,
my body quivers with excitement and fear
i kneel , i wait, i dare not move
how much longer i do not know,
but wait i must with head bowed low,
