My first experience with bondage was at 13, when I consensually tied up a neighborhood girl. In my teens during the mid 1960’s, there was no internet or BBS’s; the only place I found BDSM content was in the fiction of pulp “men’s adventure” magazines and the classic works of the Marquis de Sade, both of which I found and consumed. Later, in the 1970s, bondage magazines such as House Of Milan and Harmony would became available.
I had open relationships at that time, something most of my peers could not really understand; even fewer understood the kinky relationships I also started forming then. When I started practicing BDSM in my mid 20’s I had no one to learn from; I progressed slowly learning by experimentation. I tried anything that came to mind, starting with simple bondage progressing to breast bondage, severe semi-contortionist bondage, rubber bondage, spanking, impact play with straps, short leather whips, hairbrushes and wire coat hangers, suspension, inverse suspension, knife play, electrical play, gunplay. Some of the things I did then, I would not do now, and I count myself lucky no permanent damage was done.
I collared my first slave around 1975 in a live in relationship which lasted 5 years, and was followed almost immediately by another 5 year relationship, living with a girl who served me as a bedroom submissive.
Back then we took vanilla relationships and tried to turn them kinky. Alone again after ten years of kinky relationships, I began my search again for one capable of a deep D/s BDSM relationship, and wishing Eulenspiegel and Janus were not so far away. In the late 1980s, as I was deciding there was no kink in a girl I was dating, she became pregnant . I had to decide to be either a committed father or a weekend dad; after serious thought, I married and we raised our son.
In 2008 I came back to BDSM after an amicable divorce, and was delighted to find a thriving community, in which I could refresh and expand my skills with workshops, classes, and in groups. Over the next couple years I attended every class I could. The BDSM Mentors series of weekend workshops was invaluable for filling in the missing knowledge gaps in my original self education, and my thanks goes to any and all who have ever been associated with that educational endeavor.
I value compassion, knowledge, self reliance, integrity, and transparency. I belong to several local lifestyle groups, including the Lair de Sade, and WCPX. I am a proud member of the Society of Monarchs. I have attended many local munches and support groups, and have visited most of the local dungeons. For several years I attended SWLC. For 1 1/2 years I was on the Board at Threshold. I have presented workshops on negotiation, bondage, impact play, caning and spanking. I run several online resources, whose aim are to connect people to the local kinky communities and good educational resources.
In 2009 I found my property and submissive cloud, whom I collared in 2011. We have a strong relationship where play, lifestyle, devotion, domination and submission all meld together into a very rich life.
