I recently tried to rewind time on a past involvement and now know that it doesn't work for me. We all grow and develop and change. I can't rewind to who I used to be, nor would I want to. I've grown a lot over my time in this lifestyle. I've learned many things that I enjoy, some that I hate. I've learned about what I can and cannot handle, and I know that I have a whole lot more to learn as time continues to flow. I am strong, but I have my limitations and I'm not going to forget them or myself for anyone. Regardless of how many layers are stripped away, how far I'm broken down, how deeply I slide into my submission, in the end what will be there beneath it will always be me. |
