i've known since i was little i was submissive, though i couldn't have actually put a name to it until a few years ago. when i lived in asia i first had the opportunity to explore this part of who i am. Power Exchange, especially, thrilled me; the intensity, mind and body, was unlike anything i'd ever felt. exploring the Nature and Mind and Imagination and Desire of my Mistress becomes the path for me to explore those aspects of my own submissiveness.

A very clever and thoughtful friend has written, there is such a fine line between pleasure and pain... How you get there can make all the difference.

what excites me most in my own submissiveness is following the line drawn by my Partner....the line that connaspects, connaspects me to Her and to myself, to feelings and responses mind and body that take me to completely new places.

that's what's about me. as a submissive, i get delight in pleasing my partner, making Her proud of me, anticipating Her wants.

i'm not a creationist, but it amazes me that my Partner and i each get such intense pleasure in our complementary and oh so different ways. for Her, taking control....for me, giving it up. For Her, giving direction, for me, being directed. For Her, leading, for me, following. i don't know where that comes from in the development of our species, why it is that we're not all seeking the same pleasures in the same ways. i'm just glad we're not. i'm just glad we got to where we are.

i'm learning. i've had good friends and good teachers to help me.
