i am a collared and owned by an experienced, wonderful Master that i love very much and am completely devoted to. A slave is like a perennial in a Masters garden. The Master thinks hard about what it wants, something strong that will serve Him well and places the perennial in just the right place. He waters and cares for it when He plants it so it takes root and grows as He wishes,
Like most gardens, annuals are added. Bright and showy, the perennial is glad for the company and enjoys the many annuals brightness. It is happy that they give the Master so much pleasure.
Sometimes the Master takes great care with His whole garden seeing that each plant receives it’s food and water and share of His attention. The perennial grows strong and happy and thrives right along with the annuals, encouraging them to be their best to please The Master.
But sometimes after awhile the Master gets used to having the perennial in its place. He knows it has grown deep roots into his soil and is very proud of it.
After awhile though He expects it will do as it should begins to forget to feed and encourage it. The perennial notices the annuals still get their attention and is happy for them but it struggles to do as it should. The perennial is grateful for it’s watering but longs for the food it no longer gets. It grows leggy and blooms less as the Master walks by to tend to His annuals. It tries to reach for Him as He walks by begging silently for the attention He does not have time to give it because He is busy with the annuals He is growing. The perennial wants the Master happy and knows the annuals make Him so. But screams it’s silent scream to Him, ‘Master I am withering, I can still serve and give You much pleasure. Please think of me, I want to bloom for You!’
The perennial can only wait and struggle and hope the Master hears and remembers that it too needs tending. It fears the Master will grow tired of it’s imperfections and tear it out or just let it die. |
