Surprise request from a friend.  Her boyfriend called me and they asked me to come by tonight and fist her.  Apparently, it is a "teaching" event, there are suppose to be 3 or for couples there to watch and attempt.  I am looking forward to this for a few reason. 

I hate being home and alone on a Friday night.  Luckily I have a party to attend tomorrow evening.  Maybe I will find a bedmate for tomorrow evening.

RACK over SSC

  I never liked the concept of SSC or Safe, Sane, Consensual.  The reason being is that what goes on in BDSM is ultimately not safe or sane by most standards.  RACK or Risk Aware Consensual Kink is much more fitting to the activities of associated to the BDSM lifestyle.

  I will explain a little, tying someone's hand to the bed (this basic and common action) has certain inherent risks to it.  A few common and generally harmless ones are restricted circulation and lose of feeling in the hands and for a short period of time are of no real threat to the health and well being of the sub being tied to the bed.  Yet it can a serious issue under certain and in some cases sadly comical situations.  That is were RACK is a better a choice, you are aware that there is a risk (however small) of having your hands tied to the bed and that you accept the risk.

  Another example and far more fitting is CBT (look it up if you don't know what it is).  This is neither safe nor sane but is consensual.  I have witnessed individuals who were recipients of CBT tout SSC then state that some of what they have done to themselves isn't in fact safe.  WHAT?!?!? How can it be both safe and unsafe?  It can't, they tout SSC because that is what the majority of the BDSM community spouts.  When RACK as a much more accurate (and amusingly fitting acronym) description of what we do.

I could go into other activities like needle play, knife or gun play or abduction and rape simulation, but those are all kind of obvious in many ways and in doing so I feel like I might end up beating a dead horse.

This is of course my 2 cents worth.

So it is Friday night and I am at home...but I have a damn good reason.  My daughter wants to play an online game so that is what is happening.  I hope you all have a wonderful and fulfilling Friday night.

So after the gym this morning I came home and made homemade meatballs.  First time at it, I am hoping that they turn out well.  I am going to make a meatball sub in a bit to sample them.  Later this evening I am going over to a buddies house to hang out with some friends for a bit.  Maybe I will post more when I get home.

So I got home several hours ago from the gym after stopping to visit my mom.  I was going to start my dinner but my brain decided I needed a nap, so yeah I napped for almost 4 hours.  I still haven't made dinner or eaten anything since breakfast.  I should go and do a little grocery shopping.  Maybe I will make some meatballs and have a meatball sub tonight sub tonight, or a chicken Parmesan sub.

I haven't been on in a while, life has thrown so many things at me in the last 10 months that I have not been able to do anything but work and deal with each thing as it arrives.  I am happy that things are beginning to settle slightly, at least enough for me to return to here.

So today I meet an online friend of mine, have dinner with her and then off to LA for the weekend.  I will return home on Sunday.  Glad I got someone to house sit.

Being alone this time of year is hard.  I manage knowing that we are never really alone, our loved ones are with us.  The ones we have lost are in our heart.  Once this time of year is over I will be better.  I hope things will improve in the new year seeing as how the 2012 was the second worst for me.
