I've been here a while and have encountered a lot of phony profiles and read a number of women's profiles complaining about men. After reading some I do understand. I have advanced degrees in psychology and so I see issues quickly.

I notice pictures. If someone's pictures look too professional or if the person is just impossibly good looking, chances are they are not reflective of the individual.

Finally, grammar and spelling do count. One should not write an email as if they were sending an instant message.

It is difficult sometimes to sort the genuine from the scam. I don't consider this a lifestyle. It is just who I am. If you understand that then we have a start.
