This place is a gong show. If you hardly know a person it is not good etiquette to be demanding of a person's time, especially when they say you are busy (see previous journal entry).
Keeping up a relationship of any sort takes time - it is best not to jump into it when you have very little of it. It is much better to wait until you can devote more time and energy.
Case and point. I had a recent dialogue with someone I was hoping to meet. After several exchanges, I warned her that I was going to busy over the next while and would probably not be engaging much. When I didn't reply to the next email within a few days, she wrote another note, reeking of unnecessary insecurity, that wasn't worth responding to.
Get over yourself people. I come every once in a while to check my emails. I respond to some, I don't respond to others. I don't have unlimited time right now - and I told everyone that. Most got it and I thank you for your patience. For the one that didn't - farewell. |
