Since I am new to this lifestyle, I have been thinking about what kind of Master I want be. While I understand and accept that every slave is different, that some will need a stronger hand than others, I have always held to the baseball analogy of 3 strikes and you're out; I see no reason to foresake that philosophy now.

Never believe that I won't lay hand to ass, that would be a serious mistake; however, I don't feel that every infraction calls for the belt, lash, cane or whip.

There are, of course, some violations that will provoke an immediate and harsh physical punishment. However, Sun Tzu believed that mistakes are made by both those that lead and by those that follow. Perhaps, I, as Master, failed to properly explain My desire. In this case I have failed as Master; therefore a punishment is not required. The solution to that particular challenge is, of course, to explain My desires in a way that is understandable to My slave.

However, if after explaining my wishes a second time the slave is too thick headed or adle minded to properly perform her task than punishment is required and will be mercilessly administered.

There is a third possibility, I suppose; that she is simply not paying attention. I am sure she will never make that mistake second time!
