For me, the most important letters, by far, in BDSM are D and S. It's not a game. It's not about kinky sex. I suppose you could call it a lifestyle, but for me, dominant is just part of who I am. A major part. I've known since puberty. I know some doms like to deny needing subs. And I suppose technically I don't: I'm 37, single, and I'm alive. But, I'm tired of being single. The only way a relationship will ever work for me is if it's with a submissive. So, I need a sub. I want a service oriented sub, because that's just part of who I am too.
Bondage is great, provided it's simple. The more complicated and/or time consuming the bondage, the less it's worth the effort to me. I'm a cuff you to the bed kind of guy, not someone who wants to make fancy patterns with rope or hang you from the ceiling like some bizarre modern art installation. I'm willing to be a little flexible here (if necessary) to see that you enjoy yourself (good girls deserve rewards), but if you're deeply into shibari or suspension bondage, or if you need to be completely immobilized to enjoy sex, we're never going to work.
I'm not much into sadism. king is fun. Beyond that, I'll do it if you need a punishment, but I'm not into it. One thing I'm very much not into, S&M-wise, is anything which leaves a mark on a breast. It's an aesthetic thing. I love to look at breasts, unless they've been beaten.
Despite my illustrious acting career (I had the lead in my third grade class play), I'm not interested in roleplay.
I'm not the most experienced dominant around here, but I honestly doubt you'll find one my age who has done more research (and depressingly few among those who are older). I've been reading books and websites about BDSM for nearly 20 years now. Two of my favorite sites are Submissive Guide and Humbled Females. (Some vanilla guys read women's magazines hoping to better understand women. I read sites for subs. I know I'll never understand subs in general or even my sub (when I find her) as well as I understand myself, but I can try.)
I'm not hung up labels. Dominant and master and sub and slave mean too many different things to too many people to worry about it. I'm also not that picky about how I'm addressed.
In some ways, it would be easier to list what I don't in a relationship: bedroom only, Gorean, open relationship, "normal" and equal, high protocol. The best description for what I do want is 1950s Household. I want to marry a girl I love and to be in charge in that marriage. I don't want a life loaded down with rules and protocols, but some structure will help things to run more smoothly and keep roles well defined. I would prefer to use mostly positive reinforcement, but punishment has it's place (details to be worked out depending on the girl since different people respond best to different things). Because I prefer positive to negative reinforcement, I need a girl who wants to make her husband happy and would hate to disappoint him.
While the relationship dynamic I need and the mildly kinky sex I want are vitally important, the "normal" relationship stuff is important too. I don't need a perfect match in hobbies and interests, but I need some similarity, some connection. We need things to do together other than have sex and live together with me in charge.
Hobbies: shooting, hunting, reading, watching old TV shows (the last new show I watched was The Big Bang Theory, since then I only watch reruns and TV shows on DVD)

Favorite TV Show Ever: The Good Guys. The pilot episode is by far the worst episode of the series. The rest are hilarious.
Favorite Color: red
Music I Like: The vast majority of the music I like is country (and I don't mean pop or bad rock with a fiddle, I mean country). I like some classic rock. I like bluegrass and Celtic, although I don't own all that much of either.
Food I Like: I'm very picky. I hate most vegetables. I will not eat meat which has not been fully cooked. If didn't eat so much Mexican and Italian food, I'd describe my diet as meat and potatoes. I like spicy food. |
