The topic of sacrifice:
I've been thinking a lot lately on what it means to sacrifice ones own wants, needs and desires for someone else. Putting someone else first is hard. Really hard. And therefore not for everyone. Perhaps that is why submission is such a brave choice. So many tasks I'm our lives promise ease of execution but doesn't that so greatly diminish the feeling of success? Doesn't it devalue the task itself? Finding and keeping love is worth the sacrifice. It's worth doing things the hard way. A relationship where love and respect is earned through sacrifice and giving and striving to be your best in the presence of the one you love is truly worth the work. |
