Under construction. .. like me. This is less of a list of what I will and won't do or what I like and dislike. Right now, it's kind of a narrative about where I am in life. My 40th birthday hit me in the face like a phonebook - do I feel 40, not really? Do I look back and wonder where my 30s went... absolutely. I have been in and out of various scenes since I was 15. I have let some bad experiences shape and limit what I have experience. In my 20's I had some great experiences and some really bad ones. I have tended to let the bad ones shape, color, and limit what I have allowed myself to be exposed to throughout my 30's and I have missed out on some great experiences. I don't want to get to 60 or 70 and feel like I need to cram 50 years of experiences in. No disrespect to anyone who was or is able to fulfill their desires at any age. I would rather have experiences to share under my belt at that age. I truly respect the people in the "community" who have been able to build up what I believe is a tremendous number of experiences and a wealth of knowledge. In the past few months I have met a lot of people that have been very helpful and kind to spend their time teaching me, allowing me to learn, and experience things - many of which were things I had little to no interest in ... to start. I am not going to mention any specific names out of respect to the innocent or not so innocent - but they know they are. I know this is not what people are looking for in a profile, but I am happy to answer any specific questions you may have about me and I will probably add to or change this profile in the coming days or weeks... but this is what was on my mind now... |
