The Ten Core Principles of boyhood and D/s relationships

TRUTH- boy always speaks his truth and is honest with his SIR- no matter what the consequences might be. Boy knows his SIR is always presenting him with honesty and trusts the words and actions of his SIR. Boy knows fully that even in times of discipline, limitation or challenge that he is fully immersed in his SIR?s complete love and that love alone motivates all of his SIR?s interactions with him.

RECEPTIVITY- boy is always willing to take whatever SIR gives him, and even if he doesn?t understand its purpose, trusts that SIR will only give him what is best. boy is always ready and willing to receive from his SIR. boy sees himself as an empty bowl ready to be filled by the gifts of his SIR.

INTEGRITY- boy does what he says and means what he says. he is true in all his dealings and carries the love of his SIR like a badge. boy always remembers that he is an extension of his SIR and always conducts himself in a way that reflects well on his SIR. boy acts with integrity whether he is with his SIR or is far from him- thus showing pride for their relationship, honor for his training and knowing that he is bigger, better and more pure than any low drama, anger or tension. Boy knows that his SIR is greatly honored when boy acts from a place of humble and honest power in all of his dealings- because this proves that the love and care of his SIR means more than anything else.

SPIRIT- boy is always willing to explore hidden mysteries and eternal truths of life with SIR as his spiritual guide. boy understands his SIR?s connection to the hidden/spiritual mysteries of life and is eager to learn those mysteries and the skills and power that come with it.

COMPASSION- boy extends the love he receives from his SIR to everyone he encounters. boy recognizes that everyone is on their own path with their own issues, hurts, past, goals, fears, etc. Even when others speak or act harshly towards him- boy simply shares love with them to the best of his ability because he receives enough from his SIR to extend to all living creatures. boy never puts himself in a place of being abused or treated negatively by anyone- but reinforces his rights and his own self in a gentle, calm and loving manner. COURAGE- boy has the courage and faith in his SIR to travel the paths less taken. boy trusts his SIR and is willing to heal, overcome and transcend his limitations, hurts, past and fears. boy is eager to move forward at all times under the guidance and protection of his SIR. boy knows that the path he walks under the guidance of his SIR is a hard path- but he also knows there is more than enough love, power and honor to get through it with perfection.

HUMILITY- boy always acts with humility- especially around other members of the leather lifestyle. boy understands that to be humble is not to be weak, but to be better than false ego and drama. boy knows that a humble attitude allows him to receive more from his SIR, gain more respect from his peers and use his personal power in a constructive way- not destructive.

HONOR- boy always holds his head in pride for the honor he shares with his SIR. boy is proud but not cocky about his elevated position as his SIR's boy. boy understands the sacredness, power and honor he has as his SIR?s most loved boy. boy is always honoring his SIR and is acting in a way which shows his respect and love for his SIR. boy carries himself with honor as a sign of his respect and love for the honor of his SIR and exhibits those feelings outwardly whenever possible.
