asked why so cautious - several years ago I met someone online, a british gal whho now lived here in the USA one state over from me.
Having heard all the horror stories, i was glad the relationship developed slowly and after several months, i discovered i loved this person.
She encountered serious health problems requiring hospitalization and in home care. I actually became friends with her nurse and over a period of THREE YEARS we all became quite close. But on the phone and online only.
Long story short - my world revolved around these two and I kept pushing to meet. In retrospect, I seem an idiot to be as patient as I was, but you'd have to know every conversation, detail, etc.
Bottom line: turns out there was only one woman, she wasn't british, and just about every fucking detail (and omg the detail) about 'both' of them was all a lie.
So if I seem cautious and sceptical and intolerant of women who won't meet or phone in a reasonable time period, you know why - I've been burned.
