About atonalist
In time I will fill this in further. For the time being, know that I am a fairly laid-back person, with a degree in composition from the Eastman School of Music. I have an abiding interest in social theory, especialy as it bears on aesthetics. I love to just talk out theorehtical constructs.
I'm fairly iconoclasitic about things in general and have a five-year-old's tendency to ask "why" to the answer to a question.
I'm not looking for anything, b/c I'm looking for everything. I want what happens to me to happen to me, and to enjoy the authenticity of it even if it comes, in the end to nothing.
I like graphitti (was that a mention of illegal activites?). I respect the street artist. I condemn the gallery. I burn the Opera House. (arson's illegal, there's no way this is getting past standards.)
BDSM is, on it's highest, most META level, a wonderful aping and reclaiming of the structures of power, by acting it out in the bedroom we mock opression and humiliation. We make the power struggle a game. On it's more immediate level, it's an awfully good time, isn't it?
