About ArtValancourt
I am a 55 yr. old gentleman (5’10”, 185 lb), well educated, particularly in the humanities, where my professional activities have been focused, craggy and rough looking, receding hairline and fit due to decades of outdoor sports of various kinds. I'm self-sufficient and economically secure but not wealthy. I used to teach, but more recently moved into other work. An urban animal, I enjoy a good meal and conversation, art museums, theater and the arts in general. I love the outdoors and outdoor sports. Like hiking and climbing in all seasons, skiing, sailing, kayaking and canoeing. Love music in nearly all genres, but especially the blues and its derivatives, and also write on the subject. Forward thinking, but a sucker for period dramas.
In terms of interpersonal relationships, I am a man of discrimination and taste – politically progressive but open-minded and tolerant – who nonetheless thrives on a very distinctive and special emphasis between the sexes, between the masculine and the feminine. My private tastes are chocolate more than vanilla; I have always insisted on a power exchange tactfully and well built into any romantic relationship, but also discretion, manners, and view that such concerns fit into a much larger tapestry of what is a interesting life and a fulfilling relationship. Without choosing to be more explicit than this, in my experience I always have enough imagination and energy to keep a boat moving in both calm and rough waters with both a 'D' and an 's' in it. I'm not particularly into 'technology' but enjoy sartorial diversions and games, and tend to let limits become set by the interaction with the other intuitively and respectfully. Every good relationship is a musical dance between the vanilla and the chocolate. |
