I have to be honest, a lot of people bore me. It's difficult to understand how anyone is satisfied with a head full of vague notions and half-baked conceptions about the world. Why would a person want to discuss a subject before even lifting a finger to find out something on their own. But people do it and the less lame among us spend altogether too much time humoring them.

I'm the kind that wants the details if I don't have them already. It's important to know why we believe things and where the information comes from that belief is based upon. And never rule out the possibility of being mistaken. If you want to know you can find out, if you already know you can find out nothing.

Naturally there are many times when half witted people must be endured. Some of them are even likable and there is certainly never a reason to gratuitously hurt the feelings of otherwise innocous people. Still, any indulgence can go too far and ignorance is quite common among the most repugnant elements of humanity. So I'm not incapable of putting others down either. The important thing is to pick your victims wisely. I haven't entirely outgrown the hobby of getting suited up and targeting choice swells in upscale DC watering holes. Demonstrating that a smug "expert" of some kind or other has no idea what he's talking about is the perfect complement to a few scotches. I'm out of time now but more is coming soon.
