That connection of two people with the right chemistry is an amazing thing, and I search for someone to feel that with. In fact, I believe the two aspects, D/s and vanilla, complement one another. The trust and emotional bonds developed in a vanilla relationship strengthen those formed between a Dom and sub in D/s, and vice versa. How much more powerful are the sensations of submission when submitting to someone you truly care about. In short, I feel they feed and support one another, not detract from each other. Being dominant doesn't necessitate being an abusive asshole and being kind and supportive does not necessitate being weak and unable to enforce discipline.
