I'll put the downsides up first: I'm a fat, geeky domme at least an hour from anywhere interesting. And don't own racks of torture devices or yards of lace and leather. (Though I'd like to!)
I most identify with the Queen archetype of domme - I like perfection in domestic service, grace, and civility, coupled with the emotional homage one would give a sovereign lady. I think that I would quite like to train a feminine or sissy maid. But I am the type of person that alphabetizes my bookshelves, so any servant/slave of mine would need to work very hard to earn my praise and affection.
And as a queen, it is also my prerogative to inflict pain. And I like for you to work for me to inflict it. Bare-bottom spankings with the back of a hairbrush. A riding crop across the shoulders. Floggings and foot worship and crawling across the floor. So a simple pain slut would also be appealing.
I'm still a relative novice at BDSM, so I'm still exploring different activities that might become part of my repertoire: ropework, wax, fire, etc. It's been an interesting journey so far, I can't imagine where it will take eventually go.
Outside of domme headspace, I'm a warm, geeky, motorcycle-riding biologist. I have a penchant for video games featuring fake plastic guitars. I like to make things with my hands - useful things, pretty things, and tasty things. I'm also a burgeoning beer aficionado - American porters and Witbier are two of my favorite styles.
I am poly, and I do have a primary romantic partner. Any D/s play for the foreseeable future will be of a non-sexual nature. However, that would not preclude certain forms of body worship such as foot/neck/back rubs or hairdressing, or chastity requirements.

I was thinking this evening about scent, and its power in a scene. Scent is the most primitive sense, with the power to reach right into your psyche and flip a bunch of levers. Now put that thought into a BDSM context. I'd love to pick out a specific perfume or cologne for my sub, one that he or she would wear just for me. That wonderful aroma would be woven into the cloth of their service. And when we were parted, the faded whiff of sandalwood or musk would evoke them.
And of course, I would also mark them with my own choice, so that they would be reminded of their Mistress even in my absence. |
