Deviance .... is enlightening.
Kink does not control my life, but it is a large aspect of my sexuality and sexual interests as a person ... and as such it's from the personal that I begin such journies in order to continue learning more about myself and others.
I am interested in that 'edge' where your body and mind are in conflict -- whether it's a matter of pleasure/pain, orgasm/no orgasm, gently pushing into a new limit of exploration & comfort, etc…so my interests go beyond just the stereotypical "tie me and beat me" practices. For me, that's the amazing part of kink -- not just the "fun" but the personal exploration and psychological/emotional growth you can foster along the way when in the hands of a capable and trusting partner that one truly can connect with as your body begins to betray you (and it will betray you in the end!) It's a wonderful thing to experience as a bottom, but there's also something delicately delicious about being a top and knowing exactly how far you can lead/entice your sub into the kinky subspace dance before pulling back. It's all about trust and exploration!
Things of interest to me in the kink world include "the usual" items of bondage and sensual power exchange[1], but also more esoteric things like tease and denial (orgasm control), erotic hypnosis (guided sensuality), innovative predicament bondage, coming up with new ways of causing kinky mischief in the right situation as either a top or bottom, and otherwise exploring "what makes me/my partner tick on a deeply personal level." As such, I'm quite honest in what I list as interests, curiosities, likes, loves, and so forth here.
By way of background, I'm an educated professional, academic, global traveller, and a person with a wide array of life experiences and interests. I'm happy to discuss more of my background / profession privately via email or such, but not posting much more publicly, for obvious reasons.
While nobody's perfect, key personal attributes I look for in others (and what I offer in return): intellect, trust, open mindedness, open communications, emotional maturity, and pretty much having their life in order.
[1] I identify as a 'switch' only because I appreciate the opportunity to top at times. However, I definitely lean towards the submissive side of the dynamic.
