### Who the fuck are you?
Although heralding from the wilderness of the frozen North beyond the wall, I've travelled the length and breadth of the UK with relatively few casualties in my wake.
I'm friendly, gregarious, approachable, open-minded, tolerant, analytical and deep-thinking. A self-confessed sapiosexual and - as the name would suggest - a respectful chap.
I am neither a sycophant nor a hypocrite. I am not a fair weather friend. I will speak up if I see something I disagree with. I prefer to leave conflict as the last option, believing diplomacy and communication are the best ways to resolve a conflict, but am not afraid of a fight.
At my worst, I can be arrogant, prideful, bull-headed and dismissive of others. I am aware of these flaws and I endeavour to keep them in check.
At my best, I am selfless, considerate, kind-hearted, thoughtful, protective and altruistic.
I am always honourable, stoic, contemplative, reserved and respectful to those who earn and deserve it.

I am heterosexual, and wouldn't be interested in any sexual relations with any members of the same sex. A shame really, those bi folk get all the fun! Although I wouldn't have sexual contact with a man, I wouldn't be adverse to non-sexual play.
In relation to sex, I am almost entirely dominant, but outside of sex, I want equality. As it happens, I'm a self-proclaimed feminist. I believe completely in gender equality and I would never be comfortable being involved with someone who felt they weren't my equal, based on gender. As I mentioned above, I'm sapiosexual. The thing I find most attractive in a member of the opposite sex isn't their bra size or the length of their legs; I'm more of a prefrontal cortex kinda guy.
I'm trying out poly stuff. Monogamy hadn't worked for me within the scene and so I fancy having a stab at this. I'm not a particularly jealous or possessive person generally, but I am rather protective of those I care for. I am open to have multiple non-sexual play partners, and am open to sexual play too but that doesn't mean play and sex always come as a package, but neither are they mutually exclusive.

### What brings you to Fetlife?
After my relationship of eight years ended, I came here looking for like-minded people. Central to my understanding of BDSM has always been a bedrock of honesty, honour, integrity and mutual respect. It's a shame the community is not based upon such firm foundations.
Along the way, though, I've met some amazing people and shared with them some wonderful experiences, and have achieved a lot of things I am proud to have been a part of.

I was one of the co-organisers of Edgeplay Scotland quite early on, but recently chose to leave. I still think this group started out with some fantastic ideas to benefit the scene, and has done great things to educate and inform players within the Scottish scene. I wish them all the best with their future endeavours.

Although I was never one of the official organisers, I worked extensively with them to help generate more interest in the local scene and boost numbers of active kinksters. I assisted with finding venues and generally being part of the community which is now so very vibrant.

BDSMRopemaster and I put together an idea of bringing education to a venue where local kinksters could meet. We were very ambitious and our first event was a great success. Fireplay, sharps, rope, flogging and impact were taught and demoed, followed by a play party.

Following moving to the Forth Valley area, I noticed a lack of local kink events. Having already had experience in setting up events elsewhere, Alice_Wonder and I got together and set up the Forth Valley Kink Munch in January 2015.
