Im creating my own holiday. Its called Nonconsumer day. On Noncosumer day, we the people make an effort to refrain from purchasing anything. At the end of the day, we celebrate by watching the corporate profits for the day plummet. Once they see the impact of one day, maybe then theyll realize how important WE the people truly are.
After which, we up the ante. Nonconsumer day becomes a week. Corporate profits continue to drop. For all you economists and capitalists out there who say 'That will never work', youre right. It will never work. But for once, instead of always being bent over the barrel; wouldnt it be nice to return the favor?
