I used to have this big long profile...but my experience on here has been...mixed.
MANY of the people I have encountered are troubled souls...and even more are scammers.
It's disappointing, but in reality I think you stand a much better chance of finding a meaningful relationship at a munch or an actual get-together.
This is kind of like fishing in a swimming pool...
If you catch something, be very suspect of it, because what I've seen here is that it is usually too good to be true.
Over the years I've seen alt sexuality come more into the mainstream but there's still such a silly guilt factor embedded in most peoples minds.
It's like...don't come on here looking for someone or something unless you've got your issues worked out. Don't try to work them out by carelessly using the people you find here!
That's the WRONG way to be true to yourself.
Honestly, MOST of the people I've encountered on here could use some serious therapy.
And therapy can work.It's not just a head trip, but you gotta open your mouth and let the truth come out of it. Not just egocentric nonsense.
After you express yourself openly and truly for long enough, then your own sense of self really does begin to come to the fore. And then you're not cruising site after site looking for the next thing while pretending to be something or someone you're really not.
You don't have to lead the Pride Parade, but you also don't have to wear a mask over a mask.
I think being fake is bad, but people who are being fake aren't all bad people.
It just takes more than you can get from where you're constantly looking in order to 'find' yourself.
You can't get blood from a stone, and don't try to teach the pig to sing...
Honestly, if you can't sleep with yourself, then why the hell should anybody else?
But that's what you find on a lot of these sites. People who think that internet anonymity is some kind of unique super-power that only they understand and that only they can wield properly.
Although allegedly for 'personals', this kind of stuff on here is really more in the vein of 'entertainment'...because more people are 'acting' than not.
You can learn a lot by looking at a forgery...but ONLY when you KNOW it's a forgery!!!!!
Ultimate lesson learned: nothing is more erotic than TRUST.
