I'm self employed, outgoing, articulate, easy going, fit,
and active. Like most, I am certainly not without my
faults, and I try to stay away from them as much as
possible. I like to work out daily, and believe that despite
life's ups and downs, it's a waste not to make the most of
each and every day. I figure there's someone out there
for just about every personality type, it's a matter of
taking the time to find someone that appeals to you on
many levels. I like to be outdoors, boating in the summer
or working around my home in the winter. Long walks are
relaxing, as is reading the newspaper with some music on.
I enjoy preparing food, although my culinary expertise
needs some work. I'm comfortable in most social settings,
and feel as good in shorts and a t-shirt, as a suit. I have
homes in So. California, and also Southern New England,
where I also have a circle of friends in both areas, and
own several varied businesses. I own (or should I say, am
owned by), an older Basset Hound, that is a joy to have
around. I have always had bulldog, because they are
loyal and are great to take on long walks. Plus, they can't
outrun me. Over the many years of dog ownership, I have
concluded that we could learn alot about loyalty and
being unprentencious from the behavior of dogs. (Sounds
strange, but just an observation). I am also active in Bull
dog adoption. Dogs can't always chose their owners or
living situation, unlike humans, so it makes me feel good
to save the life of one very unhappy dog and get them
placed permanently in a good, permanent, and stable
living situation. Having a long term relationship with
someone that is based on commitment, loyalty, and
compassion would be great, but I'm not really prepared
at this stage in my life to try and fit a square object
through a round hole. Been there done that! So if you
have an interest after reading this profile, I'd love to
hear back from you.Hopefully I'll meet someone who is
eager to grow and develop a great relationship. I'm
looking to spend time with someone that I can be a good
friend with first, a woman who possesses any
combination of the following characteristics: she should
be kind, somewhat interesting, fairly articulate,
attractive to me, self assured, (not cocky or rude) with a
certain level of confidence. Someone that can discuss an
array of topics, and feel as comfortable at a cocktail
party or other social setting either standing alone or
nearby me or at a pub having a drink or so. I'm probably
asking for the too much here from one person, but maybe
just a few of the above characteristics would be great.
It seems with age that people become more skeptical.
Consequently, generous gentlemen hunters beware, I can
spot you a mile away, and while I'll give you the shirt off
my back during the course of a relationship, I dislike
women who's sole item on their agenda is to find a guy
with some loot! Age is unimportant, but willingness to
grow in a relationship while having fun should be a
priority. She may have children, or not, but hopefully she
is ready to really grow in a healthy long term
relationship. I'm hoping that you like to travel, especially
to Florida, or vice a versa to Southern New England, as
the spirit moves you.
