I've been on CollarMe since 2003/2004 (this is my 2nd ID after a technical fuck-up), and over the course of time, the "make up" of people here (not just here, same on Bondage.com, Alt.com and others) has rather shifted. More and more you see people that are using the so called "lifestyle" to find a mate/life-partner (because they weren't successful in the vanilla world), or some lay to fuck (males as females alike).

What makes things worse, that numerous people promise the Heavens Onto earth on their profiles but can't/don't/won't deliver, and then there's the legions of subs that are willing to jump the blade (read: move-in) within a few days of online conversations.

To those I say - have you lost your mind ?!? what happened to your sense of REALITY ??? Do you do a major investment purchase of something from a store purely based on its advertisements without try/test-drive it first too ?

If you say No, then WHY are you throwing yourself away HERE? If you say Yes, then I'm sorry for you, and you deserve the Darwin Award.

Yes, we all have fantasies, needs, longings, cravings. But reality never stops, it will ALWAYS intrude or intersect with the so called "lifestyle". We all still have relatives, bills to pay and to eat & sleep even.

How many of you think long-term? Like how you see yourself as a sub/slave/property to someone in, say, 20 years from now ? Or how you maintain your sub/slave as a so called Dom/Master/Owner 20 years from now?

If somebody promises you "the sky", I recommend to utilize the "Military Night" principle, to sleep it over and think about it, before you commit to something that may bound to fail.
