Its very easy to be critical and dismissive of CM because yes, there are a good number of fakes and wanabees on here, of both sexes. However, I've also been lucky enough to come across some great people whom I've really enjoyed chatting to. And certainly the few I've gone on to meet have turned out, in the main, to be genuine.
And the one or two who weren't genuine were still very nice - you just couldn't believe a word they said lol.

So a New Year has begun, in more ways than one.
I recently read a quote attributed to Marilyn Monroe. It resonated with me, as I'm sure it does with many.
"I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle.
But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure don't deserve me at my best."
I consider myself very lucky.

Saturday evening. At home by myself but that's ok.
Faith has been restored - there really are some genuine and decent men on this site.
I mean 'decent' in the broadest sense of course lol.
I must add though that i'm also finding a few who are so up their backsides its unbelievable - but to those i say thank you - for such great entertainment!

I'm seriously thinking of starting my own name and shame list of 'doms' who really really aren't.
But then can i actually be bothered to waste even more time on them. Better perhaps to save my energy for when i meet a real Dom.

Whilst there are certainly many on here who are fakes and fantasists, there are also many who are not, who are genuine and honest.
But i'm learning that its not even that simple. Its not just a matter of sifting out the liars and discarding them.
Its discovering whether D/s is just something that they want - or something that they intrinsically need and can actually DO.

I like to believe what people tell me. Its been a hard lesson to learn that I shouldn't. That just because I don't tell lies others won't. Sad isn't it.
