IN THE BEGINNING....
I first found the books of Gor around the age of 9-10, but even younger than that my childhood games revolved around Dominance and submission, with the added spice of a little bondage thrown in. It was then that I first began considering myself to be "Of GOR", and at least with my closer acquaintances, going by the name of Trebor. (and No, this does not mean that I believe myself to be On GOR, that would require far more imagination than I possess)
WHO AM I....
I am the Assassin, the Healer, the Warrior, the Poet, the humble Peasant, the gallant Knight.... I am all of these things and so much more, no label can ever describe who I am, for I am not the man I was yesterday, nor am I yet the man I will be tomorrow. I am ever changing with each new experience in my life.
GOREAN CASTE SYSTEM....
There is a multitude of Castes upon "Gor", some are glamorous, others not so much, although each is necessary to the survival and health of the City. Much like the jobs people work at here, some are covered in glory, others in garbage, each is necessary.
I identify best with the Caste of Assassin, for there are those in the world who richly deserve NOT to be in it. And it is the Assassin who is best trained to quietly target the guilty and eliminate the one without bringing harm to the innocent many.
MY HOME STONE....
When I was around 13yo, I searched along the river near where I lived, it was there I found an oval stone. It was smooth, flat, and gray in color. I picked it up and took it home, and over the next few days, I etched into the stone the Mark of the Dagger. When I was finished I swore an oath....
Where so ever I shall reside, there I shall place this simple stone. That land, the buildings upon it, and those people who reside beside me shall be under my protection, and will be defended up to and including the use of lethal force.

DISCLAIMER....
Do not confuse the Gorean Philosophy with the "online gorean roleplay" which is so popular, there is a vast difference. Many people have never read the books of Gor, yet claim to dislike "Gorean Lifestyle" from seeing it role-played online. The "online gorean role-players" have no real accountability for their actions, so play it to the extreme like many RPG'rs did while playing Dungeons & Dragons in years past.
Professor John Lange (aka Norman) wrote of a place of ideals, many of the details of Gor can be traced back to earth’s own distant past. But many have found a belief in the writings of "Gor" that resonates within their spirit. Is a belief in a fictional scenario that holds Honor, Integrity, and Strength in such high esteem such a bad thing to believe in?

OK, for those of you following my progress, if there are any, I apologize for skipping a couple of updates.
On Mon and Tue, (8/29 & 8/30) utilizing the Lite Gait, I made my 750' walk (1 lap) around the complex.
On Wed (9/1) I saw the wound care specialist, and told him I wanted to increase my load bearing to 50%, which he authorized.
So today (9/2) still utilizing the Lite Gait, and ranging between 45% and 50% weight bearing, I went around the complex twice. (1500')

Yesterday I was so wiped out after my walk (750 feet) that I fell asleep before I could post. I did discover that padding the strap with a towel makes the harness a lot more comfortable.
I walked again today, (750 feet) with a towel placed strategically for comfort, and I would have beat the 20 minutes it took me yesterday, except I kept stopping to chat with people. |

I did my walk today utilizing the lite gait, and I badgered my physical therapist into giving me between 20% and 25% of my weight.
I made a full circuit of the complex, which is 750 feet, the only downer is that I scraped the big toe on my left foot halfway around and started bleeding.
Like they say "Blood, Sweat, Pain, and Tears is just Weakness leaving the body"

I walked again today, using the lite gait, with between 10% and 15% of my weight on my feet.
Today I at least tripled my distance, I estimate between 350-400 feet, but I will update this when I get the physical therapists numbers. |

Today I walked for the first time since the beginning of 2010, granted it was only between 10% and 15% of my total weight. The lite gait is an awesome machine, wearing a harness much like a woman's girdle, straps attach to the harness coming down from the boom arm. The only bad thing about the harness is it does cut the into the groin....
The physical therapist estimated that I walked between a 100-120 feet.
I will let you know what I do tomorrow. |

I now have the doctors OK to put 10% of my weight on my feet. Now comes the test, learning to walk again. |

I just took my first steps to learning how to walk again.
I rolled over on to my stomach, and from there levered myself onto my hands and knees. I did it twice to prove that the first time wasn't a fluke. |

WANTED: Kajira trained as a service provider for an owner who is in a power chair for locomotion and I have limited and lessening use of my hands. Service would be 24/7 and include full daytime domestic duties with night duties consisting of warming my bed. Life-Time commitment will be determined after a suitable training period has elapsed.
