Erotic Hypnosis has been gaining in popularity over the past several years. What was once practiced quietly in secret, is now being performed as entertainment at bachelorette parties (if a some what toned down version). Even with it's rise in popularity, there are still a lot of confusion about what Erotic Hypnosis really is, and what it can really do. And so we come to the purpose of this profile: To answer questions. To dispel the myths and misconceptions surrounding Erotic Hypnosis, and offer sage advice. I won't be actively looking for subjects or "play partners". (Not going to turn something good away if it comes along, though.) "Oh, sure, random guy on the internet!" you may say to yourself, "I have no doubt that you are an expert on the subject!" To which I reply: "As a matter of fact, yes. Yes I am." I was first introduced to [stage] hypnosis at the age of 8, when I was used to demonstrate stage hypnosis to a group of local magicians (one of which was my mother). The experience captivated me, and I spent...well to be honest, the rest of my life, learning everything I could about the subject. I'm not claiming to know everything...nobody really does. But I know much more than your average "hypnotist", who read about it on the erotic fiction websites, your your "hobby hypnotist" who has made a few Youtube videos with spinning spirals, or a few MP3 files. I should add... If your profile makes reference, overt or otherwise, to illegal activities, including, but not limited to you being under age, I will assume that you are either a) looking for flap material b) wanting to role-play, or c) are a cop trying to bait people onto incriminating themselves. Either way, I'm more than happy to play the game with you, but I'm going to operate under the assumption that you are an adult.

On recordings/MP3 files:

For many, their first foray into Erotic Hypnosis is in the form of a pre-recorded MP3 file, found on any number of sites that purvey such things.

A person, newly curious about the possibilities of using hypnosis for sexual reasons, tries a google search (they very well can't ask friend and family about it), and stumble across sites offering erotic hypno-MP3's for sale.  Eager, they download a file that seems to fit their particular interest (if they are lucky, they can find one for free), and begin listening.  Much to their dismay, nothing seems to happen.  They try file after file, with no results, leaving them with the attitude that they cannot be hypnotized.

The problem is with the media, not with the subject.

Every person is different, and thus, every person enters an hypnotic state differently.  Some people are better at visualization than others, while some are more analytical.  This means that each person needs a different type of induction.

A person who can visualize clear details in their head, for example, could be hypnotized using an induction called the "staircase induction", where they are told to visualize a staircase..any staircase.  They are directed to see all the detail in the staircase...maybe the steps are carpeted, and the carpet is a particular color.  Maybe it's well worn and starting to fray.  What ever.  They are able to concentrate on all of these little details, and the more they concentrate on the details, the more their subconscious mind has to begin to take control.

Some people are able to be hypnotized faster than others.  Some can take several minutes of induction before reaching the barest of hypnotic states.  Some drop like a stone in water.

A live hypnotist can recognize all of these factors and choose the best induction for the subject, as well as adjusting the length of the induction as required.  A pre-recorded file, by it's very nature, cannot.

An MP3, or other such recording, can only bang on by rote.  You are stuck with what ever induction method was recorded, for the exact time it was recorded, despite what you, the subject, might actually need.  This, as I said, can lead to a lot of disappointment in new subjects, and give them a mental block that makes it harder to succeed next time.

Pre-recorded sessions are best used by people who have experience going into an hypnotic state (the more you are hypnotized, the easier it gets, and the deeper you go each time), or by those already in such a state.

Hypnotherapists will often use pre-recorded sessions...the "body" of the session...after a subject has been hypnotized, in situations where they may have to leave the room during a session (the call of nature, for example) and do not wish to interrupt the session.

However, using them for the entire session...from induction to awakening, seldom produces positive results...rather the opposite.

Is hypnosis via text possible?

Of course it's possible.

Look at it this way; can you think of a moment where you're reading something, maybe fiction, maybe not, it doesn't really matter, but it just has some sort of style where the more you read the less you really think about what it's saying? Your eyes continue passing by each word, each letter, but the more you read the more your attention goes elsewhere, which of course is completely natural, because there's no reason for it not to be. You may even start thinking that you've completely read and understood what you've looked at, even though you immediately forget every word you pass by, which is perfectly fine to you because your eyes keep on going by anyways, because you know that on some level, you are reading the words you are looking at, so you can keep on going and forget about whether you remember reading the words. In fact, these sorts of writings are so mind-numbing, they can even change the subject without anyone noticing, because when you start forgetting words that your eyes are passing by, you can even start forgetting things like numbers, or more specifically, the number six, because your eyes pass by, but you forget these things so well that until at least an hour after reading this, you think to yourself that what you are going through by reading this is perfectly natural, and that everything this post has said is true, even if you find it impossible to know for sure what was written, or what the number between five and seven is, because until an hour has passed, you won't know these things, or even realize that there are any gaps in your knowledge of this post or your knowledge of numbers. Of course, as you reach the end of this post, you must realize that what I've said has had an effect on you, whether you know it or not, because as you start becoming aware of words again, you must realize that language is designed to affect people; the only question is whether language can purposely be used that way. Sometimes, definitely, but... well, I guess it depends on how you look at the purpose of writing...

So: It depends... what's 3+3?

So I find that I need to explain what hypnosis is and isn't.

Hypnosis isn't some magic spell or instant mind control process.  There are a lot of things that you can't do with hypnosis, and the things that you can do, usually take time, as in days, or weeks...even years, depending on what you are trying to accomplish.

Hypnosis can't be used to make physical changes to your body.  As much as the fetishists like to think otherwise, you cannot be hypnotized to make yourself shorter, or younger, or to shrink or grow "body parts" to change genders.  The only exception may be breast growth.  The logic is that the brain produces estrogen, and estrogen produces breasts.  Personally I have not seen any verifiable evidence supporting this claim.  Maybe some day I'll get around to doing an independent study....

Hypnosis can't make anyone do anything that they are strongly opposed to doing. Trying to do so, will result in the person "waking up", usually quite angry.  So, no.  You can't hypnotize your neighbors wife into having an affair with you.

However, if your neighbors wife is, or ever has been curious about having an affair, then you can use hypnosis to fan those flames.  But it's not going to happen in one session.  Or two.  Or 10.  (Unless she's already ready to have an affair, and just needs that little extra push).  The more changes, the bigger changes, you want to make to a persons thought pattern, the longer they are going to take to bring about. And the really big changes (or the big, clear fantasies) require what is called a "deep hypnotic state".  Few people get to that state quickly.  It takes time and repeated sessions to get most people that deep.  Fortunately, the more you are hypnotized, the deeper you go each time.  This is why stage hypnotists will wake their volunteers up and put them "under" again, over and over again.  They are deepening the hypnotic state each time.

The flip side to this is that hypnosis works exactly the way the subject thinks it does (excepting body modification).  If you find a subject that knows nothing about hypnosis but what they have seen in movies and read in erotic fiction, or if they believe that hypnosis IS a magic spell that gives you complete and total control over their mind, body, and soul and they are powerless to resist, then that's exactly what hypnosis will be for them.  Sadly, subjects like that are not very likely to let you hypnotize them, even if you could find one.  They are the erotic hypnotists Unicorn.

What hypnosis is:

Even though the word "sleep" is commonly used, hypnosis is not actually a sleep state (though your brain waves will mimic a sleep state, oddly enough).  Hypnosis is actually a state of intense concentration.  Your conscious mind focuses on one thing to the exclusion of everything else, and your subconscious mind takes over.  Many people have experienced this while driving.  You are driving home, along a familiar route.  You are thinking about something...maybe the argument you had at work....and you are thinking about all the things you could have said.  Suddenly it's time to get off the highway, and you realize that you don't remember driving the last few miles.  This is a very light state of hypnosis, easily broken by a change in traffic, or when your subconscious notices your turn coming up, jerking you back to "reality".

With a willing subject, erotic hypnosis can work wonders. From simple post hypnotic suggestions that cause your subject to orgasm when you say a specific word or phrase, to guiding your subject through a scene that feels, in all aspects, just as real as real life, with out the pesky restrictions that real life brings with it.

You never really forget anything.  Your brain keeps everything you've ever experienced locked away for future reference.  Kind of like a giant, walk-in closet.  The memories and experiences that you use often are kept handy at the front.  The older ones that you are less likely to need again are shoved in the back.  But they are still there.

Everything you see, hear, taste, touch, and smell in life are electrical signals sent by your nerves and interpreted by your brain.  Your brain uses those saved memories and experiences to process the new ones.  Which is why they say things taste like chicken....if your brain can't find matching information for the taste, it resorts to the texture, and fills in the gap with what it can process.

So how does this work with guiding a subject through a detailed fantasy via hypnosis? Every have a dream of falling?  You get scared and wake up, right?  Ever had an erotic dream and had an actual orgasm?

Your brain doesn't need the electrical signals from your nerves....it can supply them all on it's own.  Which means that your brain can re-experience anything...literally anything, that it has experienced before.  This is what happens when you dream.  Your dreams seem real when your dreaming.  The only get fuzzy and hard to remember when you wake up.  Your conscious mind instantly realizes that the dream events were not real, decides that you don't need to remember any of it, and starts shoving it into the back of your mental closet.

Hypnotic stimuli can alter, or even override actual "real world" stimuli. When you are hypnotized, your subconscious is encouraged to replay those feelings (physical and/or emotional), while your conscious mind is busy "elsewhere".  And what's better, is that your subconscious can trick your conscious mind into keeping the memory of that fantasy in the front of your "closet" when you "wake up".  Or even keep them "playing" while you are "awake".  Until something happens that reminds your conscious mind what's going on, that is.  For example, you can be hypnotized to "not see" a person, or hear their voice.  Naturally, you will still see them, and hear them, but your subconscious will trick your conscious mind into ignoring them.  Until they bump into you.  Kind of hard to ignore them, then.

Also, if your brain is not familiar with a sensation, it will make something up.  If you have never had anal sex before and, under hypnosis, your fantasy involves you getting bummed, you will feel what you THINK anal sex feels like.

SO

What all the above means is that, once you can achieve a deep hypnotic state, you can experience, quite literally, anything you, and/or your hypnotist, can dream up.  It doesn't even have to be physically possible.  You can fly in your dreams, you can fly during a hypnotic fantasy.  You can have sex with aliens and tentacle monsters just as easily as you can your neighbor's hot, 18 year old daughter (or Son...or both...not judging...ever).  And the best part....no consequences.  No risk of STDs, pregnancy, or jail time.  Everything always goes perfectly, there's always a happy ending (for you at least), or a bad one if that's your thing, and nothing actually happened.  No animals (or co-eds) were harmed in the making of your fantasy.

And, just in case you are wondering....

I don't care.

I don't care who you are.

I don't care who you choose to "play" with.

I don't care what your fantasies are.

As long as everybody involved is a consenting adult (outside hypnosis), I don't care.

Everybody has one or two really dark fantasies that they don't admit to themselves, let alone others.  I've been doing Erotic Hypnosis for more years than I care to count, and I have, quite literally, heard it all.  And I don't care.

Some have fantasies that can't be fulfilled in real life, such as sex with a fictional character.

Some have fantasies that shouldn't be fulfilled in real life.  I'll leave that to your imagination.

I've heard them all.  I've done sessions for just about every fantasy, from vanilla to extreme taboo, that you can think of.

I never judge.

Because there are some fantasies that are better off experienced through hypnosis, than attempted for real, and I would rather help some one with hypnosis, than have them break down and try something for real. Think of it as a form of therapy.
