I earned the title Sir through hard work, loyalty, and dedication to something greater than myself. A lot of so-called Doms expect to be called Sir without earning it.
If you gave your title to yourself, instead of getting it from the people you devote your life to, you haven't earned it and you don't deserve it.
A true leader and a true superior works for his inferiors. Likewise, a true Dom works for his subs.
You earn a title and you earn respect by looking out for the welfare of your inferiors, promoting their interests, giving them demanding training, and preparing them for challenges ahead.
You'll never learn to lead until you learn to follow.
