I'm in a very committed, albeit conditionally open relationship with ShakespeareTwo. You can find him on , if you're really that interested. Before I get further into my personality and out-of-the-bedroom self, I should probably delve into my kinks. I'm still figuring out a lot of what I'm interested in actually doing, since most of my kinks originated as fantasy. Mainly, I'm into rough sex, spanking, bondage, breathplay, and werewolves.
One VERY important thing—likely the MOST important thing to know about me—is that I'm demisexual. That basically means I can't feel sexual attraction unless I have an emotional connection to the person I'm with. By default, that means I need to get to know someone personally before sex even comes into the picture as a possibility. When people message me and basically bring up sex before I've gotten to know them and feel comfortable around them, it turns me off immensely. So if you want to tap this (which obviously won't happen if I don't want to be tapped anyway), get ready to invest some time into our relationship.
I'm probably a switch, but I feel more comfortable subbing, as it's all I've done so far. I also won't feel comfortable trying to dom someone unless he's dommed me several times and I've gotten to know his style.
My name is Christie! I'm very geeky, as I grew up surrounded by 1980s X-Men comics, a family with two generations of Dungeons and Dragons players, and video games galore. I'm also nerdy, because I'm a huge academia fan. I love school, I love learning, and I want to keep learning forever. I love to laugh. I have a big fixation with horror films. My favorite books are in the genres of fantasy, crime mystery, or historical fiction. I spend a lot of time singing, and I play guitar.
My personality type is ENTJ, if you wonder.
The most important part about my personality and out-of-the-bedroom self is my intellect. I'm very intelligent, and I surround myself with people of like minds. I'm a critical thinker and have little patience for people who can't keep up with me intellectually. Writing is one of my passions; I love all kinds. Journalism and historiography are fun, but my one true love is fiction writing. I'd never try to rely on it as a career, because it barely pays the bills (if at all), but writing short stories, snapshot-style prose, and novellas is one of my biggest hobbies. I'm currently in the process of planning my first full-length novel, which is taking a very long time.
More often than not, I'd rather stay home and watch cult classics or play a game of Scrabble than go out partying. I'm not big on drinking, I never do drugs, and I'm super awkward sometimes. I often blurt out things before really thinking, and when you combine that with my brutally honest outlook, I can sometimes say things in ways that make me sound really rude. I try to be kind to everyone, though, and I really value respect.
I have a funny mix of realism and idealism going on. I like to look for the best in people, but I'm also not necessarily accepting and a pushover for people who just don't have great attitudes. I won't make excuses for a person who commits immoral actions, because everyone has good and bad in them. The choices we make, not the possibilities we have, define us. I'm very outspoken, and I'll stand up against something that's immoral or otherwise wrong.
I'm very competitive, and sometimes I let my determination to be victorious get the best of me. I know this about myself, though, and it really isn't something I'm proud of. I'll never enjoy arguments, but sometimes I just can't quit while I'm ahead. It's something I hope my partner can understand and deal with by my side as I grow out of that nasty habit. Anyway, my ability to be objective lets me step back from a conflict once the fire has cooled and really analyze why the argument happened and what can be done about it going forward. That analysis is really what can help two people grow and learn together; they learn about themselves, each other, and the unit they are as a couple.
In short, I love reading, crime shows, supernatural shows, horror movies, music, dancing, fantasy/sci-fi, comics, and comedy. And I'm really smart.
