One of my puzzles was missing a piece yesterday. That missing piece can be worked around. It was an edge piece. Something on the border that helps hold the entire scene but really isn't a whole piece or critical part of the scene. Because I realized early it was lost, it wasn't even hard to work as though it was there but isn't it interesting how not having that piece still leaves a tiny hole that keeps your puzzle from being a work of art.
Short of breaking my own rules, I can't produce nor find that piece. I can't bring myself to throw out the puzzle but it also isn't something I can be proud of for viewing or sharing pleasure later.
I mention this puzzle because it doesn't bring me pleasure to do without but I'm not so spoilt that I can't accept and continue to live and make the best out of what I have even while doing without.
I would expect no less from my subs. Life is what you make of it and throwing it away isn't an option.
As for my missing piece, maybe it will turn up one day. If not, I still have the rest of the puzzle to pull out and enjoy just for myself Occationally. Who knows, Maybe I will learn not to loose a piece next time.
