an interesting development. started with many applicants that sent expressions of interest, whittled it down to three selected to proceed with interviews. the first failed to respond to the invitation. the second responded but abruptly stopped responding in the middle of the process. the third scheduled an interview and led me to believe he was serious until the day before, then abruptly didn't respond any more. not one of the three of them had the courtesy to tell me that he was dropping out. aside from being fakes, what a shameful way to conduct oneself.
