Are you an emotionally secured woman?

I have a dog (a Brittany) and a calico cat who gather around me at my feet and at my side in the evenings for “quiet time” when I read or before I go to bed: a “homey picture” of companionship and love. The only thing missing is a submissive woman.

I’m a divorced man who was married to a vanilla wife for 17 years. We parted as friends, realizing we couldn’t make each other happy. She described me as her “rock” who anchored her with emotional security, a man with a good sense of humor, understanding, sensitive and deeply spiritual.

I’ve discovered I have a dom side to me sexually, while to the outside world I’m a gentle man, as well as a gentleman. So I’m new to this, wanting to explore a long inhibited side of my personality with a special woman, hopefully for a long term relationship. I’m not a domineering man socially so I don’t think I will be that way sexually, but rather a sensitive dom who desires to help make his sub happy and fulfilled as I am happy and fulfilled.

Spirituality is an integrating reality of my life. Raised a Roman Catholic, I have left that church with it’s BS (not just necessarily meaning “Bull Shit” but rather “Blaming and Shaming”) and guilt. But I love the rituals of the RC church, while re-defining some theological aspects like sex is really a blessing from God to be enjoyed and that Jesus really taught love and acceptance of everyone, regardless of “lifestyle.” I have a very liberal, all-inclusive theology. Ideally, I feel that another “recovering Catholic” would know better the journey I’ve been on sexually, but another Christian who has been “BS-ed” in an organized church, would also be ideal. Sex and the sensuality of BDSM is a profoundly spiritual experience for me.

Besides being a woman of deep faith and spirituality (“recovering Catholic” or one who has traveled on the same road of organized "BS" religion), I desire one who loves to go to the theatre and loves to learn, long walks, campfires in the backyard, having a good sense of humor, intelligent, a good sense of who she is. I know you are out there!
