| I am like a pomegranate. To the outside world I show a pleasing color and a simple, self-contained shape that gives little hint of what's on the inside. It takes patience and gentle hands to open a pomegranate without destroying the seeds, but inside is a glowing world, bright and sweet and intricate. It's worth it.
OK, in real life I grew up on a farm, studied philosophy, and now work in finance. I'm passionate about politics, nourished by art, and as stubborn as the day is long. I love country music, the schmalzier the better. I laugh easily and smile often.
People often see me as innocent, which - well, it depends on your definition. Innocence in the sense of ignorance is destroyed by knowledge. Innocence in the sense of wonder and hope is a commitment and a daily practice. I am not the former, but to see the brutality and tragedy of human life clearly, and still see its beauty and delight equally clearly; to remain awake to the possibility of a new beginning that is present in every moment - I aspire to be this strong.
I'm drawn to the idea of a power dynamic, but I've never been in an explicitly D/s relationship before, so it's hard to know exactly what in the range of possibilities will suit me (though I have played in the public scene). All I can say is, I'm looking for the freedom of trust.
As far as kinks go, I like struggle play, both physical and verbal (with emphasis on the playfulness). Heteronormativity is hot, and so is its subversion. My heart belongs to rope bondage, though. Since it would be reasonable to assume otherwise, I should also mention that I'm not into pain. Regarding other kinks, we'll just have to see!
