It's hard to believe that Geeky Kink Event: New England (GKENE) took place only two weeks ago! Time sure flies!

While I'm not an extreme geek, I do like my fair share of technology, comic book-based movies, and sci-fi, and I have a wicked sense of humor.

I room-shared with two good friends and attended a bunch of great seminars including cotton candy bondage, massage for sadists, history of torture and punishment (ask me about the fiddle!), and Daddy/girl relationship dynamics to name a few.

One of the great things about GKENE was the dungeon. The grand ballroom, conveniently located below-ground and sound-proofed, was converted into a full function dungeon with plenty of racks, bondage frames, a full-suspension rig, hospital stretcher, massage table, and large cage. The glory-hole Tardis was very lack-luster but oh well.

A friend strung me up in suspension cuffs and let loose with his fists, elbows, and knees. His girlfriend and I are working on teaching him the meaning of "warm up" so I can take more for longer periods of time but overall it felt great.

While I was too shy to get in the cage myself, I did manage to chase one of the kitty-boys into it and trapped him for a bit. My deep barks tend to frighten some of the kitties and chasing them is just too much fun to pass up. :-D And the man with the flogger was kind enough to keep an eye out for puppies whose fetch toys ended up too close to his bondage rack. AARROOOO!!!

A friend invited me to his house party Friday evening and I had a great time! Even though I was shy and a bit uncomfortable in the new setting, I enjoyed meeting new people and getting reacquainted with others.

I saw my first needle play scene that evening. I'm not squeamish around blood or needles so I was at no risk of fainting and actually found it intriguing. Granted it's still not something I'm interested in trying but I have a better understanding of why some people enjoy giving and receiving needle play.

I absolutely loved my reintroduction to "thuddy" toys from the man who originally showed me the intimate pleasure of rough body play. He let me feel a variety of tools from wood to carbon fiber then we worked to find the right places and right strikes that let me sink into that blissful state of mind.

We even played a bit with his claws (no blood, just sensations) - I found some of his ticklish spots and he drew designs on my back.

Afterwards we cuddled and nuzzled each other (he's a feline at heart, which proves cats and dogs can get along :-D ) and I transitioned into my puppy mode until we were rudely interrupted by someone bursting into the room looking for a guy named Paul. I got all startled but he soothed me exactly like one would a puppy and had me licking his palm in no time. m^_^m

Wow, can't believe I forgot to write about Kinky Con 6! It was such a great time - people, experiences, classes, and shopping - it's hard to get better than that :-D

10 days until Kinky Con VI!!!! WOOOHOOO!!

My roommate asked me if I wanted to come to a "Fifty Shades" sex toy party on November 10 and I had to decline. When she asked why I explained as gently as possible that I'm going to a "Fifty Shades" weekend event - a large gathering of the types of people who could write Fifty Shades with both hands tied behind their backs (PUN INTENDED! LOL)

Her response consisted of promptly dropping the subject and becoming very interested in her iPhone... was it something I said?? :-D

I just had a funny encounter with another so-called Dom:

As usual there were a bunch of skills listed as "expert" on his profile and yet only a one-liner about what he's looking for.

I respond to his message and he immediately invites me to chat. Sure, why not? Let's see what he's got. He asks what area of the city I'm from but then busts out one of my laugh-inducing questions, "are you a true sub or have you trained?"

Ah yes, the ever-popular question about being a "true" submissive. Forget the "true" submissive, I want to meet a "false" submissive LOL He didn't like my answer as he just disappeared from the chat window without so much as a goodbye. Oh well, boys will be boys...

Seriously, the answer to the question all depends on how one defines the term "true submission". So allow me the opportunity to define my own submission and then you can decide whether I meet your criteria for a "true" sub.

First and foremost: I have a brain and willpower and will use both when I see fit. If I don't trust you half as far as I can throw you then I'm not about to address you as 'Master'. Sure, I will respectfully address you as Sir if you so desire, but I appreciate at least a first name to start with, i.e. Sir Robert or Sir Todd.

Secondly, if I don't understand what you're asking me to do then I'm going to ask about it. I don't ask to undermine your authority or question your judgement. I'm asking to understand the way you think and to learn what pleases you. Some Doms don't want me to ask them questions unless granted permission and I'm okay with that, but the trust is already established so I'm comfortable enough doing what I'm told and waiting patiently for my questions to be answered.
