One thing up front: I'm married, and plan to stay that way. My wife will know and be involved when I accept a slave.
What makes a slave a slave? Somebody recently used an expression that brings it to the point: a slave has about the freedom of a 12-year-old, but a lot less privacy. That isn't meant in the age-play sense, but to illustrate the point.
Another way to look at it is that you are getting care and security, and in return give up control.
Note: we are only looking for a female slave, or possibly a couple. Ideally, a lifetime commitment, but we are also open to term-limited arrangements.
For us, it means that a slave has no voice, no seat on the table (literally and figuratively), no say in what happens. A slave will be cared for, kept safe and secure, and if the slave chose her owners wisely, can trust her owners with her life. A slave will not make decisions about her life, often won't even participate in those decisions - others will decide about her life. Sometimes, you see the term TPE for this type of arrangement.
Today's slaves are voluntary, and if there are certain restrictions that don't work for you, you have every right to negotiate them away before you sign. Once you agree to be a slave, though, it will be too late.
A slave is not a girlfriend or a possible wife. We already are married, and don't need another equal partner. A slave may be treated like a family member, as long as she always remembers her place. Or a slave may be treated is fundamentally inferior, much as it was in the 1850s.
A slave is also not somebody who suffers endless sex or endless pain. Although at times a slave may suffer, that's not what slavery is about.
A slave is about control, about giving up all her freedom. Not just some freedom, but all of it - and receiving something else she needs in return: being cared for, being needed.
Do you like a particular kind of music? As a slave, you may no longer listen to that music. Unless your owners permit you to. Do you like a particular TV show? You may never see it again. For that matter, you may never watch TV again at all if that's what your owners decide. With us, you would occasionally watch TV shows that we like. Maybe as a special reward, you occasionally can pick a TV show, but that would be a special treat.
Do you like to wear jeans and T-shirts? Or a particular perfume or makeup? Your owners may not allow you to ever wear those again. If your owners decide that you always wear skirts and dresses, then that's what you'll wear. If your owners decide that you'll wear a burqa, then that's what you'll wear. If your owners decide that you don't wear anything at all, then you'll stay naked. Even if you hate it. Even if you are embarrassed by it. If you are told to go grocery shopping wearing just a bikini, then that's what you'll do. And if you are given torn or dirty clothes, you'll wear those, too. Good owners will never give you clothes that will get you arrested, but other than that, if you think "your" clothes are inappropriate - tough, deal with it.
Do you like shoes? Your owners may only allow you to wear flats if you like heels, or flip-flops if you like boots. Or your owners may keep you barefoot, even in public places. That's what we would do. Slaves don't need shoes.
Do you like particular foods? You may never eat them again, or you may eat them as a reward. Your owner may even have you prepare your favorite food - for themselves - and have you eat nothing but a bland gruel. Good owners will always make sure your food is healthy and you aren't allergic, but it may not be tasty.
Do you like your job? Your owners may tell you to quit, and to take a different job, maybe another one you like, maybe one you'll hate. Or they may keep you at home 24/7.
Do you like to drive? Your owners may not even allow you to have a drivers license.
Do you like to go on walks? Your owners may keep you inside the house for weeks or months at a time, and we will enforce this with chains. Your owners can also tell you when and where to go, what to wear, with whom you are allowed to talk, and you may not be allowed to leave unaccompanied, and/or you may be monitored by GPS, cameras etc.
A slave can be locked in a cage whenever the owners decide to do that.
A slave may not be allowed to sit down or to sleep in a bed - she may have to sit, eat and sleep on the floor.
A slave may not even be allowed to speak without permission.
A slave may not be allowed to pick her own friends, and may be restricted in any outside contact. Some owners will not allow a slave to remain in touch with family, or have her contact with family strictly monitored and limited. A good owner will be judicious on that since for many humans, outside contact can be healthy.
A slave should be prepared to never have sex in her life again if her owners so decree. Or to have sex with when she is told and with whom she is told. Good owners will ensure the slave will never catch an STD or get pregnant (since the child did not consent to being involved).
A slave should expect to have no privacy.
A slave should expect to be stuck with all the unpleasant chores in the household.

Are all of these restrictions really going to happen? Maybe, but not necessarily. These are all things that the owner *can* do, not that the owner *must* do. The proper care and feeding of a slave means taking the slave's needs into account, too.
With these restrictions, why would anybody choose to be a slave? Simple: some people need exactly those restrictions. If you do, then we are looking for you. But you wouldn't be asking this question in the first place.
Good owners - and we plan to be good owners - care for their slave, and good owners will make sure that their slave remains happy and healthy - the slave just has no say over that.
Choose wisely. If you choose the wrong owner, even for a "natural" slave, you will be very unhappy.
We plan on keeping you happy.
