THE CEREMONY OF THE ROSES
Sally:
The significance of the roses:
The white rose, still not in full bloom, symbolizes her submission. The white color represents the purity of her gift, while the still slightly closed petals show that her submission has not come into full bloom. It never will. Submission is ever deepening, ever growing and the submissive will never reach a place where she cannot open a bit more for her Dominant.
The red rose, almost fully open, signifies his dominance. The red represents his passion and desire to posses and protect her at all costs, though it may require him to spill his blood to do so. The rose is almost in full bloom to symbolize that he is ready and mature enough to accept the responsibilities required of him.
Miss Laurie:
The significance of the blood:
Pricking the finger of the submissive is symbolic of taking her virginity. She has shed blood to give herself completely to him. The drops on the white rose also speak of the same thing.
In pricking his own finger, the dominant shows his willingness to shed his blood to protect and defend her by virtue of his ownership. The drops on her rose show that vividly; the drop that falls on her blood covers it and blends with it, thus indicating their union. Pressing the wounds from the thorns together allows their blood to mix, joining them as strongly as their own family blood-lines. They are now of the same flesh and blood.
Exchanging the roses is symbolic of their gift of themselves to each other.
Stone:
MK, with a thorn on the stem of your red rose, prick punky’s middle finger and let two drops of blood fall on the white petals of her rose.
punky, offer the thorns of your rose to Him so that He may prick his finger. He will let two drops fall to your rose, one alone and one on top of a drop of hers. Then you two shall press their fingers together and make your vows to be joined by blood.
MK…repeat after me
"I will cherish our friendship and love you today, tomorrow, and forever."
"I will trust you and honor you, care for you and protect you."
"I will always be open and honest with you and will be eternally grateful for your wholly accepting love."
"I will laugh with you and cry with you."
"I will love you faithfully."
"Through the best and the worst, the difficult and the easy, what ever may come I will always be there."
"As I have given you my hand to hold, I give you my life to keep."

The significance of the petals:
The mixture of the petals signifies the mixing and blending of their lives. Couples often keep them in a decorative jar, once the petals have dried completely. Upon death, a portion of those petals are placed with the body to show a bond that will extend beyond the grave. Many legends are told of roses that have sprung up on the graves of couples who have loved so strongly during their physical lifetime that even in death they sent back evidence of their everlasting love in the form of roses that bloom again on the graves.
MK will do a collection of blood from punky to be stored in glass bottle
Exchange of Rings (postponed till delivery.
MK places permanent collar on punky:
I did not have any thing written out but I said the following. " There are many collars in the world, this one is mine. I made this one with my own hand. It is my honor that you should wear it." Then I made the ever sweet sound of the lock clicking, securing my collar in place.
Congratulations!! Woohoo!! Celebration!!
We had planed to stay at Catacombs for their first night, but due to my recent injury we went to Dinner at my favorite restaurant instead. Most of our friends joined us.
I wish to thank our friends who were there to support us. Jojo and Belle for making it possible to have our special event in their awesome new space. To Stone for being the amazing friend he is and performing our ceremony. To Sally for read about the roses and baking us a beautiful cake. To Miss Laurie who looked stunning in her dress for reading about the significance of the blood that punky and I shared. To Gillian for all her help and for taking some fuckingfantasic pictures. To my cubi Rich for also taking some amazing pictures. Finally to our all loved ones who wished us well and happiness even though they could not attend.
With much Love and Honor,
MK
