I guess this post is just to find out what everyone thinks is the difference between a slave and submissive. I know that this lifestyle has many different defintions. I would love to hear you opinions.

K this is gonna be totally weird and random but two things that really really bother me. So many people today say things like 'I did that good' instead of 'I did that well'. Don't know why it bothers me so much, maybe its because of the insane teacher I had in high school that stressed grammar. And really I am not a grammar fanatic, in fact I will admit to having horrible grammar (Just ask any professor who has ever taught me). However when I hear someone use good instead of well it just really irks me.
My next grievance... 'A lot' is two words, not one! You can even type it in word and it will auto correct it. It's a common mistake but again it irks me and I have no clue why.
Feel free to message with complaints about my grammar, I will be more than willing to correct them.

Guess I always just find it interesting when Doms say they have no limits. Of course they have no limits, they aren't the ones being beaten. I guess I could understand if a Dom did not like needle play because that made them uncomfortable. But it just seems odd that they can say they have no limits and therefore their potential sub shouldn't either. Maybe a sub more cheeky than me could point out to one of these Doms that having no limits means they are fine with being beaten as well. Just a thought.

Ok, so I have been looking at a lot of profiles and I keep reading some of the same things. One thing that keeps popping up is the idea that others in the scene are not real, or are fakes. I can understand why some people feel they must make it clear that they are very involved in BDSM. However I do not know why some people must insinuate that some are not as dedicated or as real. This lifestyle encompasses many different fetishes. There is no one aspect that is essential to be involved in BDSM. I know some people that are total masochists but are not one bit submissive. There are others that have many submissive behaviors but do not enjoy pain at all and will not submit to sadistic behaviors. In both these scenarios though the people involved consider themselves members of the BDSM scene. And honestly they both are, I mean it is bondage, dominance, sadomasochism and masochism. There is no requirement to encompass all these terms to be grouped into this lifestyle. I guess what it comes down to is though someone does not participate in all the elements of bdsm that you do, it does not make them less real. We should not be judging each other, people in the vanilla world judge us enough. We should accept each other and acknowledge that it is our diverse interests that make this scene so wonderful. Ok now I'm off my soap box.

So just an observation. I've come across a ton of girls recently who refer to themselves as slaves. Now I know that the terms slave and submissive can be defined in a variety of way and there are no 100% right answers, but many of these girls don't seem very slave like to me.
My Sir and I have discussed what a slave is to us and he came up with a wonderful example. Say a slave was waiting after work or some other event for her Master to pick her up. She would patiently exactly where she was told until he arrived. However say her Sir was late, and not just by a few minutes but by a few hours. A slave would continue to wait where she was told until her Master showed up. And once he did show up she would not question him as to why he was late. She would go with him with a smile. Though a submissive would still wait for her Sir she would ask her Sir why he was late picking her up, but in a respectful way of course. Now I must say I do not call myself a slave, I am a submissive. And if I were in that situation I know that I would be calling my Sir to find out where he was, he would never be late to pick me up without calling me first. This would be more out of fear for his safety though.
I guess many people are quick to define themselves without question. I think that we must often keep ourselves in check. I always find myself reconsidering my submission, especially when I am around others who to me don't seem submissive at all yet call themselves submissive.
Don't know if that all makes any sense but its just a thought.

Haven't bee on in a while, been wicked busy with school and quitting my job woohoo!!! My Sir has been so supportive of me. I think one of the things I like best about this site is that people can be so open about what they enjoy and not be worried about being chastised (well ok some of us want to be chastised but you know what I meant). I love being able to say hey I love being beaten and not worry that people will judge me. This is a site to be open about what we enjoy and be accepted. I guess that is why sometimes it annoys me when some feel that they are allowed to judge others' kinks. Honestly as long as you aren't into children then you enjoy yourself! I've found my match; not that I was actually looking. Just goes to show that when you least expect it you'll find what you need in life. I'm still so smitten with my Sir. Had to write an entry about this because I find it rather humorous....
So I'm sitting here checking out corsets, looking at a fab D/s comic called Savvie and Lacy (you should all check it out though it won't be up dated for a while), and just generally looking at devious and perverted things. Went to the Crucible last night for the BR event. Had a blast. Went with Erin and met up with some other friends when I got there. Strict was sweet enough to scene with me and though it didn't seem that long at the time we played for at least an hour. Was great to flogged again. So I've almost finished completely moving in to my new apartment. It is fabulous and my roommates don't seem like they are going to be totally horrible. We will see how everything goes. Just have to share because it's so exciting :D. Went to the Boston Fetish Fair this weekend and had a great time. Got myself two new toys too :D. So as I was surfing the channels tonight I came across the show America's Got Talent... since there was nothin else on I figured it could entertain me for a bit. I am currently just looking for some friends in the local scene. Eventually I will desire a new Master but as of now I am happy being un-owned. I just graduated from college and am starting on a new part of my life. I have no idea where I will go from here but whatever it is I know it will be amazing.
