I find that  I'm being asked this question more and more, and unfotunately from people that really don't fit the profile that I'm attracted to.   

Yes, that is me pictured on my profile.   I don't understand the point of displaying someone elses picture and I find people who ask me as an accusation,  which I find not a good want to introduce oneself.

I'm still getting many short messages from people that don't have much information on their profiles.  If you fit this category then it will not be possible for me to determine whether or not there is a potential for a connection.  Just simply read the message you are about to send.  I'm not against short messages from folks who have put a lot of effort into their profile.  I will read the entire profile from top to bottom, including all of your journal entries.  Then I will look at who is connected to you in your friends network to get a sense for what people have interested in you the past.  If you have no picture on your profile, then please provide one.  I swear to be discreet and respect your privacy.  I am trying to keep this positive and by no ways a rant.

For the past few years I've had a keen interest in makeup, its application, and techniques.  A girl like me especially needs to know the tools and tricks to give that illusion that I crave.  I enjoy reading Allure magazine.  I've just discovered Faceon, which comes from the UK, and hope to start learning from there.  I've been trying to befriend those who are especially good with makeup.  They tend to be creative, artistic, and open minded.

It may be that people that write one line messages are selfish and don't think of how they are perceived by the recipient.  My first thought when I get one is that this is how much effort they will put into anything, which is little to nothing.
