Just came to say I'll be at Camp Crucible at the end of May for folks who might be attending. |

Life is far too busy and in terms of finding a sub, I'm pretty confident I've found the one I want.
Now, on the other hand, finding someone to occasionally submit to, that's another story.
I routinely travel to Philly and DC (still live in upstate NY). So if you see me browsing in those areas, that's why.

Whenever I see gross misspellings in profiles, I have to wonder if the poster has one of those rare browsers that doesn't have a spell-checker built-in.
Then I see some profiles with bad misspellings that include "property of X" or "under consideration of Y" and have to think don't their dominants care to correct their property's public errors?
(And now having ranted about that, I can guarantee at least one grammar error in MY post. It's the law of the Internet. :-)

Yes, the job situation has changed. Other than the sudden lack of income (temporarily) I'm really enjoying life. Time to get other stuff done and figure out my next career move.

Wow, it's September already! Actually September is almost over, I can't believe it.
Well there's now about an 80% chance I'll be trying to find a way to stay working down here next year.
Definitely would love to find a kinky housemate in the Tyson's Corner area. I'd be gone most weekends and would be able to cover 1/2 or more of the rent. Only caveat is at times my family would come to visit so we'd have to hide the toys and victims from time to time. This would probably be 2-3 weeks out of the year and a few weekends.

I am more and more convinced that CM is a tough place to meet people. Oh sure, you can meet people, but finding a match is tough. Of course partly it's the pre-conditions I've put on my own profile, so I can't fully blame CM.
But, I think odds work against people. It seems that female submissives and slaves get fed up (rightly so) with the one-liners and the "I'm DOM, KNEEL!" type emails.
Then those of us who DO try to put thought into their emails (and I do try, even if it doesn't always appear that I succeed :-) are up against the fact that those we're trying to attract are often getting 50-100 emails a day. I can't blame many women for giving up given that onslaught.
Of course what's also frustrating are those that complain about getting nothing but 1-liners who, when they do receive a more meaningful email, don't bother to reply. I suppose at that point they've really given up, but it's frustrating.

Well, made the weekly commute back north.
Friday's drive really really sucked. I was sick as a dog and had no sleep the night before. So took 3 naps along the way, hit heavy traffic. etc.

Well another day at the grind. But, life is good.

But, I HAVE found a place. It's a bit strange, only met 2 of my 3 housemates. The landlord doesn't allow furniture in the common areas, so not much opportunity to mingle so far. But, I'm starting to set up my room. I have a dresser and bookcase. Now just need a bed, desk and far better chair.
So I spend my evenings trying to find folks here. Still not entirely sure who or what I'm looking for, but I keep looking.
