First and foremost would like to get to know people.
No matter how good the D-s dynamic would be,
If you cannot get a loving, caring mutual chemistry, anything else will be hard to sustain on a long term basis.

Learn who they are,
what they like, hobbies, intrests,
what goals they have in life what drives them.
